Final Fantasy VII Rebirth – In the second part of the Final Fantasy VII reboot trilogy, called Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, players leave Midgar and explore well-known places from the first game. The story continues after the 2020 events of Final Fantasy VII Remake, with the group leaving town on a mission to find Sephiroth. There’s still a lot more to the story, making it exciting to see what happens next.
In Rebirth, you’ll see all the characters from Remake again, and there’s a chance to meet new ones too. Three new members join the cast: Yuffie, Red XIII, and Cait Sith. Cait Sith, in particular, hasn’t been in any fights until now, which adds a bit of excitement to the story.
Vincent and Cid will show up in this Journey, but it’s crucial to know that you won’t be able to play as them until the next game. In the original 1997 version, though, there’s a short part where you can briefly control two non-usual characters. The scene focuses on the importance of Sephiroth, the main villain, and the brave Zack in this updated version of the Final Fantasy VII story.

1. Cloud
Cloud takes center stage in this middle section of the new Final Fantasy VII. He’s got his famous big buster sword and his moody self as he discovers more about his mysterious past.
2. Tifa
In the Rebirth, Tifa, who’s been friends with Cloud since they were kids, comes back to reveal more about her tough and challenging past. She also shows off her martial arts skills to take down the rivals.
3. Aerith
Aerith, a most adored character in video games, returns in the second half of the story as a magic user and heading towards a potentially intense ending.
4. Barret
Barret, the tough guy we all love, is back and ready to shoot bullets from his gun arm. But in this middle chapter, he also has to confront some challenging events from his past.
5. Red XIII
After being a key player in the Final Fantasy VII Remake, Red XIII can now be played in Rebirth, bringing along a rich backstory. Plus, it gives important information about what’s happening in this part of the story.
6. Yuffie
Yuffie, who you could play in the Intergrade DLC for Final Fantasy VII Remake, is a fun and playful character. Now, in Rebirth, she joins the main group, bringing her lively spirit. It’s a chance for her to show she’s more than just a person who steals materia.
7. Cait Sith
Even if long-time fans have doubts about what Cait Sith is up to, this cat riding a moogle brings a playful and fun vibe to the fight. In Rebirth, Cait Sith is the first character in the rebooted trilogy who isn’t shown fighting, adding a cartoonish touch to the excitement.
8. Zack
Fans of Final Fantasy VII will see more about Zack, one of the intriguing characters in the series, in Rebirth. However, it’s unlikely that he’ll become part of the main group.
9. Sephiroth
Sephiroth is for sure one of the well-known villains. You get to control him alongside Cloud in flashbacks, learning about his tough past and using his legendary sword, Masamune, in battles.
