2. The Grapple Blade

3. Weapon mods

Battle Pass

Exciting update! The Chapter 5 Season 1 battle pass is here, bringing eight characters, including two new ones. If you’re a big Fortnite fan, you’ll be happy to know that Peter Griffin from Family Guy is now in the game! There’ll be also Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid.

Car Cosmetics

In Chapter 5, you can now give your Fortnite sports car a personal touch. From today, you get to customize it by picking presets in your locker, just like you do with skins, back bling, or gliders. Right now, this cool feature is only for sports cars, but the battle pass includes a new car style called the Scorpion. Here’s a bonus: if your Rocket League and Fortnite accounts are linked, you’ll instantly unlock the Octane, Cyclone, Jager 619, and Lamborghini Huracan STO for Fortnite. Plus, there’s a special new in-game thing to check out – keep reading to find out more. Just make sure you already own those cars in Rocket League.

Lego Fortnite

If you like cool new things, the big news in Chapter 5 Season 1 is the fresh Lego Fortnite mode. It’s a free mode, kinda like Lego Worlds and Minecraft, where you can survive and create. This mode is launching soon and is totally separate from the regular battle royale and Fortnite Creative.

Epic and Lego just announced this mode together, marking the first step in their plan to create a fun and safe metaverse for young players and Lego lovers .The coolest part about this new mode is that it features Lego versions of over 1,200 Fortnite characters. If you already own certain skins, their Lego versions are automatically added to your locker for free starting today. Plus, there’s a free Lego-themed skin you can grab right now!

More Lego modes are on the way, and the Lego Fortnite survival crafting game launches on December 7. Playing it even gives you battle pass XP.

Rocket Racing

Guess what? There’s another fun game joining the mix with Lego Fortnite! It’s called Rocket Racing, and it’s like a mix of kart racing, Fortnite, and Rocket League. You can customize your vehicles, just like in Fortnite. Playing Rocket Racing also gets you battle pass XP for the season, just like in Lego Fortnite.

Mark your calendar because Rocket Racing zooms in on December 8!

Bosses

The big bosses are back on the island, and there are a bunch of them now. Right from the start, you’ve got five tough bosses wandering around, and each of them is actually a character in the battle pass. Their names are Oscar, Nisha, Montague, Valeria, and even Peter Griffin. If you manage to beat any of these bosses, they’ll drop something called a Society Medal. And guess what? You can use these medals to get a cool buff that helps you get your shields back.

Quality-of-life changes

The game is not just getting new stuff, there are also some technical upgrades. Starting today, you’ll notice better animations thanks to features called motion matching and procedural layering. These make the movements, like walking, running, changing directions, and using weapons, look smoother. There are also cool physics-based animations, especially when you launch into a match. So, the game is looking and moving even better now!

In other news, you can now use medkits and shield potions while you’re moving, but it’s a bit slow. Just remember, once you start using one of these, you can’t stop until it’s done. There’s a small but important change with helping teammates. Before, if you stopped helping a friend, the timer would go back to zero right away. Now, it slowly goes back, like if you were helping for 12 seconds and you move away, it doesn’t go straight to zero, it goes down bit by bit. This gives you more options and doesn’t punish you as hard if you move a little.

Match Quests

Now, instead of Daily Quests, we’ve got Match Quests. When you start a game, you pick three Quests to do during that game. If you can’t finish them, no problem. You’ll get new ones in the next game. And if you do your first three Quests every day, you get some bonus XP for your battle pass.
